Here at Costa Farms, we’ve grown and tested hundreds of Tropical Hibiscus varieties over the decades. The super-exciting HibisQs® Constellation varieties have more flower power than any we’ve ever seen! Cassiopeia is a stunner that produces soft pink flowers edged in white with a bold dark red center. The 4-inch-wide flowers come in profusion—more than twice as many as older Tropical Hibiscus. It’s not just that it flowers more: The long-lasting flowers have extra-thick petals and stay open two or even three days. And Cassiopeia has a full, lush appearance top to bottom as it branches well (with more stems to produce flowers).

Care

Light Level: Direct Sunlight

This plant wants direct sun at least half to a full day. Grow it in a planter or garden bed where it gets plenty of sun.

Water Level: Very Thirsty

This plant is a very thirsty one, check on it 2-3 times per week and add water every time the top of the soil feels dry to the touch.

Quick Tips

For optimal blooms, use a time-release fertilizer in spring or fertilize monthly with a general-purpose fertilizer.

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis HibisQs® Constellation Cassiopeia

Bred specially for us by our partners Graff Breeding, Constellation Cassiopeia is part of a brand-new collection of exclusive new Tropical Hibiscus that have a lot of exciting attributes. Cassiopeia and our other Constellation varieties have been bred to branch better, so you have a full, lush plant with more flowers. The flowers are also longer lasting than old-school Hibiscus, providing an extra-showy look. Cassiopeia continues to bloom all summer long, no matter how hot or humid the weather gets. It’s also delightfully easy to care for: All you need to do is keep it watered (though fertilizing it will encourage more blooms).

Brand-new Cassiopeia Tropical Hibiscus is hardy in USDA Zones 10-11, but can be brought indoors in cold-winter climates and treated as a houseplant if you want to save it from year to year.
