Maintenance
Make Maintenance Easy
All houseplants benefit from a little maintenance now and again, even the plant-it-and-forget-it varieties. This doesn’t have to be a chore.
Repotting
When a plant’s roots start to fill the pot, it’s called being rootbound. Most houseplants tolerate being rootbound pretty well but grow better if repotted every year or two, especially if you want them to grow big and beautiful.
Fertilizing
Plants get their energy from the sun, but just like us, they benefit from some added vitamins and minerals. Fertilizing can be easy and done as little as once a year or every time you water. It’s up to you!
Cleaning
Keeping your houseplants clean helps keep them healthy! Dust on the leaves doesn’t look great. Plus, it can help pests hide and filter out valuable light so it’s important to remove.
Pruning
Pruning: Whether it’s removing an old leaf or trimming your plant back to keep it full and healthy, a little pruning now and again can be helpful.
