Lantana Plant Features

Crowds of colorful butterflies will flock to your garden when you grow lantana. This super productive plant puts out a nonstop supply of bright, nectar-rich flowers all summer long. Lantana loves hot, sunny weather and is tolerant of both drought and humid conditions. Flower colors include red, yellow, white, orange, lavender, pink, and bi-color. Use lantana in landscape beds or in pots and planters packed with other sun-loving bloomers. In frost-free regions, lantana forms a low shrub that can grow 2 to 3 feet tall. In the North, use lantana as an annual flower. Lantana is also deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 9-11

Plant lantana in a location that receives at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. The plant is not fussy about soil type, but does best in a rich, well-drained spot. Lantana is also salt tolerant, making it an ideal plant for seaside landscapes. Use it to add color at the beach or pool!

Sun-loving ‘Bandana Pink’ offers a beautiful pastel version of this easy-care plant. It grows 12 to 26 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide. ‘Bandana Pink’ is medium height, making it ideal for garden beds and containers alike. Perennial in Zones 9-11; it's grown as an annual in other Zones.

Bandito Orange Sunrise

Lantana camara ‘Bandito Orange Sunrise’

Evita Red is a strong grower with lots of flowers -- in fact, it's one of the better-performing lantana varieties in our Trial Garden! The blooms are a mix of orange, red, and yellow on plants that grow 24 inches tall and 36 inches wide. Zones 9-11 as a perennial, but you can treat it like an annual in other Zones.
