Rose, Knock Out (Rosa Knock Out series)

Rose, Knock Out Plant Features

If you love roses, but don't like the idea of pampering them, then Knock Out rose is the way to go. This nonstop bloomer was developed in Wisconsin so it will tolerate hot summers, cold winters, and resist a host of diseases than can cripple some other rose varieties. Knock Out rose can grow 5 feet tall and wide so use it in a shrub or perennial border or in large tubs and planters. Once established, Knock Out rose requires minimal attention. Colors include red, pink, and yellow. Hardy from zones 5-9.

Rose, Knock Out Growing Instructions

Knock Out rose prefers a spot with full sun and moist, but well-drained soil. Knock Out rose also appreciates a layer of mulch over the soil, especially in hot-summer climates to help keep the ground cool and moist. The best time to prune Knock Out rose is in the early spring, just before it breaks dormancy. Fertilize the plant in the early spring with a slow-release granular fertilizer. Like most roses, it grows best in a spot with good air flow and when its leaves don't get too much water on them from sprinklers.

Knock Out rose is not recommended for human or animal consumption.
