Scrambled Eggs Pothos

$49.00

We love making hard-to-find plants available to plant parents like you! So we’re excited to bring you White Sport Golden Pothos (also called Scrambled Eggs Pothos). Not familiar with this variety? It’s a sport (mutation) of Golden Pothos that has both white and golden-yellow variegation in the plant. (Note: a few leaves may not show the characteristic white variegation.) It’s just as easy to grow as Golden Pothos, though while it tolerates lower light levels, we recommend keeping it in a bright spot.

This unusual houseplant is grown and shipped fresh on our family-run farm directly to you. The price includes shipping/handling, as well as a heat pack (if needed) in the winter months.

  • Climbing/trailing plant grown in a 6.6-inch-wide hanging basket
  • Can climb/trail more than 6 feet
  • Low maintenance needs, so it’s perfect for plant collectors or as an exceptional gift for beginners

Light Level: Indirect Sunlight

This plant needs to live in a room with at least some natural light. Place it on a table or countertop with windows nearby.

Water Level: Thirsty

This plant can only go 1-2 weeks without water so check on it weekly and add water every time the top two inches of soil dry out.

Quick Tips

If you grow this plant vertically up a pole, trellis, or wall, the leaves will get much larger!

Plant Bio

Epipremnum aureum White Sport

We grow millions of Pothos every year here at Costa Farms, so it’s not uncommon to find the occasional mutation. This plant came from a stem of Golden Pothos in our greenhouses in Apopka, Florida. The growers identified her as special because of her white-and-yellow variegation in the leaves. They’ve worked with her for the past several years to stabilize her and build up enough Mother Plants to be able to finally offer her to you.

Grow this easy-care houseplant in a bright spot for best leaf color. Ideally, this is within 2 to 3 feet of an unobstructed east- or west-facing window (or the equivalent if you use plant lights). While White Sport Golden Pothos tolerates medium and low light conditions, the variegation may fade more quickly. Water this vining houseplant as the top 25 to 50 percent or so of the potting mix dries to the touch and take care to avoid overwatering. She thrives in average to above-average household temperatures; keep her above 55F for best results. Average to above-average relative humidity levels are just fine, too. As she grows, this houseplant will want to vine. You can let her vine up, trail down from a basket or shelf, or pinch her periodically to keep her full and bushy.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption
