Plant Bio

Monstera Esqueleto

Monstera Esqueleto is a large tropical aroid (plant in the arum family, and relative of Philodendron and Pothos) that sports huge fenestrated leaves. Its leaves are similar to that of Monstera adansonii, but we’re growing it at a size you can enjoy now so you don’t have to wait. There seems to be some mystery around the origin of this plant, with the International Aroid Society suggesting it’s an unidentified species and others calling it Monstera epipremnoides. No matter what you call it, Monstera Esqueleto is one of the boldest and most exotic houseplants you can enjoy. For a dramatic look, grow it with Baltic Blue Pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum Baltic Blue) and Monstera Peru for a stunning mix of textures and colors.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
