The Wick & Grow® self-watering system is based on a specially designed blue-and-white Waterwick® (it looks like a string) that serves like a straw for your plant. As your plant roots drink water from the potting soil, the Waterwick® draws that same amount of moisture up from a water reservoir below the pot.
This is the simple part. All you need to do is fill the pot with water. Drop your plant back in the pot. And watch it grow! Tip: The system works best if you ONLY add water to the reservoir. Let all the water come from the wick; don’t add any moisture to the top of the soil.
