Ficus elastica Tineke

There are several excellent varieties of variegated Rubber Tree available. Tineke is a classic that’s been around for decades. It's recently surged in popularity thanks to the creamy-white variegation on its large, thick leaves. Outdoors in frost-free areas, this tree can grow 40 feet tall. Indoors, lower-light conditions and containers restricting root development slow its growth so you can keep it a manageable size for your space.

Tineke Rubber Tree grows best in medium to bright light. Placing it within 3 to 4 feet of a large, unobstructed east- or west-facing window is often ideal. It can be supplemented – or grow entirely – under artificial lights, as well.

Water as the top half or so of the potting mix dries to the touch. Provide average household temperatures and average to above-average relative humidity levels.
