Blue star creeper makes an ideal groundcover for sunny or partially sunny locations. This low-growing perennial rarely grows over 6 inches tall, yet it's so tough you can actually walk on it. Blue star creeper forms a lush mat of deep green, fine-leaved foliage, topped with starry pale blue blooms throughout the spring and summer. Use blue star creeper as a substitute for turf grass tucked between stepping stones in a walkway or border. Blue star creeper is also resistant to rabbits and deer. Hardy from zones 6-9.

Plant blue star creeper in a sunny or partially sunny location with well-drained soil. This amazing plant has few special needs, but it doesn't like to sit in water so don't plant it in a low spot that holds water after heavy rains. Blue star creeper can spread 18 inches wide so space plants at least a 8 to 10 inches apart for a solid carpet of color.
