Plant Bio

Goeppertia kegeljanii 'PP0005'

Calathea Network (previously known botanically as Calathea musaica ‘PP0005’) was bred and patented in The Netherlands. The breeder has granted us exclusive rights in North America to propagate it. Differing from standard Goeppertia kegeljanii, this selection features more strongly pronounced veining. Network also grows more compact than the species, producing shorter leaf petioles. Its ancestors come from Brazil, so it likes warm, humid conditions (making it a perfect plant for a well-lit bathroom or kitchen).

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
