Plant Bio

Aglaonema spp.

Aglaonema are known and loved for being some of the most low-maintenance houseplants around, making them ideal for beginners, as well as experienced plant parents. Most varieties feature lovely variegation, often in shades of silver or white, but pink, red, yellow, orange, and other colors can also be found.

Like most aroid houseplants, while it tolerates low light, it loves a bright spot and grows best within 3 to 4 feet of an unobstructed east- or west-facing window. It prefers average household temperatures and humidity levels (40 percent or more is ideal, but not necessary to be successful with this plant). Water as the half or so of the potting mix dries to the touch. Avoid overwatering and keep it away from hot or cold drafts.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
