Cat Palm instantly gives your home (or office!) a touch of the tropics! One of the easier-growing palms as a houseplant, it features large, dark-green fronds and a slow-growing nature. It’s excellent for filling empty corners or adding a touch and break up a bare wall in your home. Cat Palm is grown and shipped fresh from our farm direct to your front door.

Light Level: Direct Sunlight

This plant loves direct sunlight. Place it by a window or on a porch that gets direct, natural light for at least a portion of the day.

This plant can only go 1-2 weeks without water so check on it weekly and add water every time the top two inches of soil dry out.

Plant Bio

Chamaedorea cataractarum

There are several species of palms that are well adapted to life indoors (if you have enough light for them) and Cat Palm is one of the most common. This small palm is native to areas of Central America and tends to grow in a clump, rather than with tall trunks like we usually think of with palms. Its lush, dark green fronds add a touch of life to any home environment.

Tip: Like most palm species, Cat Palm is prone to spider mites, especially in dry indoor air. Cool temperatures and above-average indoor humidity levels can slow the spread of these pests.
