We're fresh back from TPIE -- the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition, a big trade show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While it's mainly an industry event, we wanted to help remind everyone that there are lots of fun, interesting ways to use plants.
One example was this piece of driftwood, which we tucked some of our favorite small houseplants in and hung on the wall. The plants don't require any special care when grown like this (water them like usual; just be sure to find a way to tuck a saucer under the pot to collect excess water that may drip out). Treatments like this are especially fun for plants like Exotic Angel® Plants varieties of ivy (Hedera helix) or creeping fig (Ficus repens), which will weave their way around the wood and create an even more natural-looking display with time.
