One of the wonderful things
about gardening in Miami is that we can do it all year long. Summers here are hot and humid, but our winters are more
like summer where I grew up in Minnesota -- sunny days with temperatures in the 70s during the day. Because these
conditions simulate Northern summers, we get a sense of how most plants will do a full season ahead of time.
And that makes our annual Trial Garden Open House really fun and interesting. The garden is
planted with more than 500 varieties -- many so new they're not going to be in stores for another couple of years. If
you'd like to take a peek, stop on by Friday, January 22nd, 2016 between 8.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. Our
Trial Garden is located at 19995 SW 194 Avenue, Miami, FL 33187.
One addition to the Trial
Garden is our new garden shed. Outfitted with comfy furniture and decorative accents, it's the perfect getaway to take a
break from the sun. We also have our landscape beds filled with colorful new flowers, as well as a display of hundreds
of hanging baskets and potted plants.
