Getting to Know Your Trending Tropicals® Plant

Soil, container, care: here's what you need to know about your new plant.

Congratulations for becoming the plant parent of a Trending Tropicals® houseplant!

Your new plant will add a beautiful element to your home and life. (See the whole Trending Tropicals® collection here.)

Here are some things you need to know about your plant.

YOUR PLANT'S SOIL:

Your Trending Tropicals® plant is growing in a sustainable growing medium.

Your new plant is potted in a coir mixture, a sustainable potting medium. Coir is made from coconut husks and provides a loose, nutritious growing medium for your new plant. Read more about sustainable coir here.

YOUR PLANT'S CONTAINER:

Your Trending Tropicals® plant is growing in a pot within a pot.

Your plant is planted into a plastic pot with a drainage hole that fits inside a cachepot (that doesn’t have a drainage hole).

The purpose of this pot-within-a-pot design is to allow you to insert your plant into any decorative pot you like.

Because the interior pot has a drainage hole, you can water it and it will drain. This keeps the roots moist while preventing them from sitting in water.

Watering your Trending Tropicals® plant

It’s best practice to remove the interior pot to water your plant. You can set the plant in a sink so that the excess water can drain.

The cache pot keeps the furniture your plant is sitting on free of water drips.

Ready, set, decorate

Your new Trending Tropicals® plant is ready to become a decorating asset for your home. And your new best friend.
